Border thinking in Lilienberg
Two days in which something was noticeably in the air
It was simply something special once again. This year's edition of Grenzdenken (Border Thinking) demonstrated what happens when people truly come together with openness: engaging presentations, energetic workshops, moments where thinking translates into action. Uncomfortable questions, honest answers, and a collaborative atmosphere characterized by the respectful acceptance of both. This is precisely what makes this format so vibrant, so fresh, so unique.

A place that fosters genuine diversity of opinion and freedom of expression – open, respectful, and always on equal footing. The presentations and workshops not only stimulated reflection but also opened up new perspectives.

Day 1 – Inspiring presentations and conversations that linger in the mind
People who ask uncomfortable questions, dare to give honest answers, and have special stories to tell – Christoph Lanter He expertly and highly professionally oversaw the two days, as always. He once again brought together a remarkable group of personalities.

Mahbube Ibrahimi She told of her escape from Afghanistan and the circumstances that shaped her life – a story that touched and made one think. Reto BlumThe decision architect amazed the guests, but also gave them food for thought. And Pius Kobler and Mathias Binswanger They discussed ownership and land – a topic that directly affects many of those present.
What a conference! What guests! What a venue! I'm (almost) speechless…and that doesn't happen often! Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
Reto Blum, the decision architect

After a cooler week, the weather finally cooperated: The aperitif in the Remise Lounge overlooking the lake provided a convivial end to a busy, stimulating day. This allowed conversations and ideas to continue – just as it should be! The evening concluded with... Roland Siegenthaler in the evening with his “truly practical summary” – humorous and to the point with the pictures he painted during the lectures.
It's simply magnificent, what Christoph Lanter This conference, this community, and this setting for open exchange have created something special. Thank you so much for the invitation!

Day 2 – Workshops, exchange and new connections
The second day started with a contribution from Peter G. KirchschlägerAfterwards, participants could expect a variety of workshops, for which they could register in advance – a format that particularly promotes personal exchange and in-depth exploration of individual topics.
Simply congratulations on what you have built with boundary thinking!

A lunch on the terrace overlooking the Untersee relaxed thoughts and created space for new connections. The afternoon was crowned by performances from Romina Rausch and Monica Kissling, known as Madame Etoile – a fitting end to an intense, inspiring weekend.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants and speakers – and to Christoph Lanter, who skillfully brought the right people together. We are delighted to host such events – and are already looking forward to next year!
